Automotive
One of the automotive industry’s most widely used international standards for quality management, IAFT 16949, is evolving with the publication of a new global industry standard by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF).
IAFT 16949, is technical specification for automotive sector quality management systems, has become one of the most widely used international standards in the automotive industry, harmonising the different assessment and certification systems in the global automotive supply chain.
Aerospace
AS9100 is a widely adopted and standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. It was released in October, 1999, by the Society of Automotive Engineers and the European Association of Aerospace Industries.
AS9100 defines additional areas within an aerospace quality management system that must be addressed when implementing an ISO 9001:2008-based quality system. Major aerospace manufacturers and suppliers worldwide require compliance and/or registration to AS9100 as a condition of doing business with them.
